Scalable Enterprise Storage

consolidate storage or implement a highly intelligent tiered storage infrastructure with
high performance Fibre Channel and low cost SATA disk drives in the same J2880 disk
enclosure. The J2880 SBOD can also be directly connected to a server or workstation as
Direct Attached Storage (DAS) to provide large storage capacity with high performance at
a low cost. Fully redundant, hot swappable components including disk drives, power
supplies, cooling modules and Fibre Channel hubs ensure enterprise reliability with
continuous access to mission critical data.

Advanced Fibre Channel switching technology delivers a point-to-point switch connection
between each drive and the storage controllers. This technology delivers the highest
availability, reliability and serviceability while reducing system latency and improving

Comprehensive Management Utility
The J2880 SBOD Management Utility provides an intuitive graphical user interface to
allow administrators to remotely access, manage, monitor and maintain a single J2880 or
multiple J2880s in a storage area network. The comprehensive management services
increase storage efficiencies while the diagnostic services simplify troubleshooting with
detailed event notification.
